Thursday morning on the way to the Bus stop (4:50 am) spotted fox tracks in the fresh snow
Crossing the street multiple times.

I find it Interesting how our Border Collie while at a trot leaves tracks similar to a Fox
It is called  "direct register" look it up.

Rabbit/Hare tracks criss crossing the street all along the walk.

Do you have much experience interpreting spoor?
I think "spoor" it is a Polish word for trail and a German word
to describe a lane on a highway. The problem with
practicing track ID is that you can guess based on size
and shape but you can never really confirm your guess
unless someone with experience like yourself is there to verify.

Yaaah!  have seen a Fox trotting down this street twice in the last 12 months, once directly towards me
then veering off towards a school playground,

Once again carrying a dead (baby) Skunk, it paused and started walking towards me and then headed off down a street towards a wooded area.

All this happened prior to 5 am while walking to the GO GO bus stop in  Milton, Ontario

It is snowin quite heavy now I'll take pic's in the morning if I come across tracks and the road is not plowed..
I just took some images of the Border Collie tracks in the snow for a comparison.
