PHOTO ART (Part – 1)
Perhaps not the best term, but with the potential of filters in post there is an art-like application for some nature photographs, particularly landscape compositions. If you identify something interesting on the trail, or elsewhere that does not entail birds, or macro work, then capturing it with an expanse of surrounding context allows you to heavily crop the main subject accepting all the artifacts and reduced pixel capture inherent with this function. Applying a paint filter will then transform the image into a form of faux artwork, although sometimes the effect is subtle unless pushed in post.
