A mixed flock of House Finch and Pine Siskin stopped-off in the yard this morning at 8:30 in western Pickering near the Rouge.
Four Cardinals were amongst the finches.
The ground-above-my-feet (GAMF) was not yet installed for the day but the birds did visit the mock tree trunk forthe buried suet and discovered some scattered seed around the support pole for the GAMF.I then put out the GAMF but the the flock never returned.Camera was not set-up since things have been dead for so long. What was the point?Now I know what the point was. The point was the beaks of the Pine Siskin.
