I will be slightly disappointed if Dec 25 is anything other than a partridge in a pear tree.

I've never seen a partridge anywhere near a pear tree but I did once pick up a cartridge below a pear tree. I believe it was .306 calibre. Probably belonged to a sniper with a snacking issue. I'll never really know its origin story. The cartridge was still warm. I think that I just shuddered. Who would want to take me out? OMG, just about everyone! I guess I dodged a bullet.
